New clothing piece for my Wild Elf shaman from a homebrew campaign I play with my buddies.
Finished product. I’m pretty happy with it, but I definitely should have worked on a larger size. Live and learn!
Begin painting over everything. I make a copy of my preparation layers and flatten them down to paint on. That way I can use brushes with pickup and get the full benefit of it.
Throw ‘em together!
Lighting roughs. I always turn the colors off so I’m not making biased decisions in regards to believable light and shadow. This is probably one of the most fun ‘preparation’ steps for me!
Flat colors, turning the lines down early so they don’t hinder me later.
Pushed the pose for a better dynamic feel and got my pencils/silhouette done and ‘clean.’
